Valentie's Day

Me: "What did you do at school for Valentine's Day?"
First Grade Boy: "We had ice cream!"
Me: "What kind?"
First Grade Boy: "We had strawberry, and chocolate, and....umm...the white one!"
Me: "Vanilla?"

What do you want to do for Valentine's Day?

"I want to do a valentine's day because we get candy and we deserve nise stuff and it's the day of love and when we give people nise stuff they feel like they want to cry because it's the day of love and when they get the card from you and when they open the card they will love it. love is good."

English phrases can be confusing...

Third Grade Girl: "Can I have some more crackers?"
Me: "No, you already had snack"
Third Grade Girl: "But I can't hold it!"
Me: "What?"
Third Grade Girl: "You know, I can't hold it. I really need it. I can't hold it. I need some crackers"
Me: "You need to go to the bathroom?"
Third Grade Girl: "No, I am hungry. I can't hold it!"


Apparently she thought, "I can't hold it!" is to be used whenever you really want something, not just when you really have to use the bathroom.

What is the perfect age?

"I want to be age 17 so I can help my dad. I want to help my dad so he won't have to come home in the nighttime and he will be home sooner."
